Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 25, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of DiscGolf.Guide, including our websites, digital tournament guides, player guide pages, scoring tools, sponsor features, maps, announcements, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

DiscGolf.Guide is operated by Jeremiah Labresh, doing business as DiscGolf.Guide (“DiscGolf.Guide,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). If DiscGolf.Guide is later transferred to or operated by a legal entity, these Terms may be updated to reflect that change.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What DiscGolf.Guide Does

DiscGolf.Guide helps disc golf tournament directors, clubs, leagues, venues, and event organizers create and publish interactive digital player guides. These guides may include course information, maps, hole-by-hole notes, schedules, weather information, announcements, sponsor content, player information, and optional scoring features.

2. User Types

The Service may be used by:

  • Tournament Directors, event organizers, clubs, venues, or administrators who create and manage digital guides (“Organizers”); and
  • Players, spectators, volunteers, staff, sponsors, and other users who view or interact with published guides (“Guide Users”).

Some features may require an account. Public guide viewing may be available without an account.

3. Accounts

You may need an account to create guides, manage tournaments, save player information, keep scoring history, or access certain features.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Service, interfere with other users, attempt unauthorized access, or create legal, security, or operational risk.

4. Organizer Responsibilities

Organizers are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of the tournament information, course information, schedules, maps, hole notes, sponsor materials, announcements, and other content they publish through the Service.

Organizers are responsible for confirming event details, course rules, safety information, official scoring procedures, PDGA requirements, local rules, weather decisions, emergency plans, and player communications.

DiscGolf.Guide is a publishing and event-information tool. We do not operate, sanction, supervise, or control tournaments unless expressly stated in writing.

5. Player and Guide User Responsibilities

Guide Users are responsible for using good judgment while on the course. You should follow all tournament rules, course rules, venue rules, PDGA rules when applicable, posted safety instructions, and instructions from tournament officials.

Course maps, GPS distances, hole notes, weather information, and announcements are provided for convenience and may not be complete, current, or error-free. Always defer to official tournament staff, posted signage, and course conditions.

6. Scoring Features

DiscGolf.Guide may offer optional scoring tools. Unless specifically stated in writing, DiscGolf.Guide scoring is unofficial, supplemental, and provided for convenience only.

DiscGolf.Guide is not currently an official PDGA scoring system. For PDGA-sanctioned events, players and Tournament Directors are responsible for complying with PDGA scoring requirements and using official PDGA-approved scoring methods when required.

Scores entered into DiscGolf.Guide may be incomplete, delayed, incorrect, disputed, or changed. Organizers are responsible for reviewing and confirming any scores before using them for awards, results, payouts, ratings, standings, or official reporting.

7. PDGA Numbers and PDGA Information

Users may be allowed to enter a PDGA number or link to a public PDGA profile. Entering a PDGA number does not mean the number has been verified unless the Service clearly states that it has been verified.

DiscGolf.Guide is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with the Professional Disc Golf Association unless expressly stated in writing.

PDGA names, numbers, ratings, classifications, membership status, and other PDGA-related information belong to their respective owners and sources. If DiscGolf.Guide displays PDGA-related information, it is provided for convenience and may be subject to PDGA rules, terms, and restrictions.

8. Maps, GPS, Weather, and Location Features

The Service may display course maps, GPS distances, weather information, or location-based features.

Maps, GPS distances, and weather information are estimates and may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable. Do not rely on DiscGolf.Guide as your only source for safety, severe weather, emergency decisions, navigation, or official tournament operations.

Users are responsible for staying aware of their surroundings, course hazards, weather conditions, and official event communications.

9. Sponsor and Advertising Content

Guides may include sponsor logos, sponsor messages, paid placements, advertisements, affiliate links, promotional content, or other commercial content.

Sponsor content is provided by Organizers, sponsors, advertisers, or third parties. DiscGolf.Guide does not necessarily endorse any sponsor, advertiser, product, service, claim, promotion, or offer displayed in a guide.

10. Payments and Subscriptions

Some Organizer features may require payment. Pricing, subscription plans, billing cycles, included features, limits, and payment terms will be shown at checkout or in the applicable plan description.

Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You are responsible for canceling before the renewal date if you do not want to be charged.

We may use third-party payment processors to process payments. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

Refunds are provided at our discretion unless otherwise required by law or stated in a separate written agreement.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal, deceptive, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes;
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights or violates privacy rights;
  • Attempt to scrape, copy, reverse engineer, overload, or disrupt the Service;
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, or non-public areas;
  • Misrepresent affiliation with PDGA, DiscGolf.Guide, a tournament, sponsor, or another person;
  • Publish false, misleading, unsafe, defamatory, obscene, or harassing content;
  • Use the Service to send spam or unauthorized marketing messages;
  • Interfere with another user's enjoyment or use of the Service.

12. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service, including tournament information, course notes, logos, sponsor materials, announcements, images, and other materials (“User Content”).

By submitting User Content, you grant DiscGolf.Guide a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, publish, modify for formatting, transmit, and use that content as needed to operate, promote, improve, and provide the Service.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit and publish your User Content.

13. Event Data Ownership

Organizers retain ownership of their event-specific content, such as tournament names, schedules, course notes, custom maps, sponsor materials, and announcements, subject to any rights held by third parties.

DiscGolf.Guide may retain system data, analytics, usage data, templates, aggregated statistics, technical logs, and platform improvements generated through operation of the Service.

Player profile information belongs to the player or account holder. Scores and participation data may be associated with both the player and the applicable event. Organizers may access event-related player and scoring information as needed to manage their event, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

14. Intellectual Property

DiscGolf.Guide, including our name, branding, software, design, templates, interface, workflows, and platform features, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works based on the Service except as allowed by these Terms or with written permission.

15. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, including payment processors, map providers, weather providers, analytics providers, email providers, PDGA websites, tournament platforms, sponsor websites, or other external tools.

We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, content, availability, accuracy, security, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and policies.

16. Availability and Changes

We are building and improving the Service. Features may be changed, added, limited, suspended, or removed at any time. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.

17. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability.

We do not guarantee tournament outcomes, scoring accuracy, weather accuracy, map accuracy, sponsor performance, registration results, player participation, revenue, or compliance with PDGA or other event requirements.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DiscGolf.Guide and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, tournament delays, scoring disputes, sponsor disputes, player disputes, or business interruption.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to DiscGolf.Guide for the Service in the three months before the claim arose, or $100 if you did not pay us.

19. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DiscGolf.Guide and its operator from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your event, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of another person's rights.

20. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, failed to pay fees, or misused the Service.

After termination, some provisions will continue to apply, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute provisions.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

22. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Iowa, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
