This Privacy Policy explains how DiscGolf.Guide collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our websites, digital tournament guides, player tools, scoring features, and related services.
DiscGolf.Guide is operated by Jeremiah Labresh, doing business as DiscGolf.Guide (“DiscGolf.Guide,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information.
Account Information
Name, display name, email address, phone number, login information, account preferences, and organization information.
Tournament Director and Organizer Information
Tournament names, event dates, locations, schedules, course information, guide content, sponsor information, announcements, images, logos, and other event materials.
Player Information
Display name, email address, phone number, PDGA number, division, card/group information, tournament participation, saved rounds, scoring history, and preferences.
PDGA-Related Information
If you enter a PDGA number, we may store the PDGA number you provide and use it to create a link to a public PDGA profile. Unless clearly stated otherwise, PDGA numbers are user-provided and not verified.
Scoring Information
Hole-by-hole scores, round totals, penalty strokes, card/group details, timestamps, score submissions, and related notes.
Location and Map Information
If you use map, GPS, or distance features, we may process approximate or precise location information from your device, depending on your browser or device settings. You can control location access through your device or browser permissions.
Weather and Course Information
We may use event location or course location to provide weather information, course maps, or distance estimates.
Payment Information
If you purchase a paid plan, payment information is processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
Usage and Device Information
IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, error logs, and similar analytics information.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, improve the Service, measure usage, and support analytics.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve DiscGolf.Guide;
- Create, publish, and display digital tournament guides;
- Allow Organizers to manage events, guides, announcements, sponsors, and player information;
- Allow players to view guides, save information, keep score, and track round history;
- Display course maps, weather information, GPS distances, schedules, and sponsor content;
- Process payments and manage subscriptions;
- Send service-related emails, confirmations, updates, and support messages;
- Respond to questions and support requests;
- Monitor performance, security, errors, and abuse;
- Analyze usage and improve features;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How We Share Information
We may share information in the following situations:
With Organizers
If you participate in an event, submit scores, join a card/group, or provide event-related information, that information may be visible to the applicable Organizer or tournament staff.
With Other Players or Guide Users
Depending on the event settings, your display name, card/group, score, division, or leaderboard information may be visible to other guide users.
With Service Providers
We may share information with vendors who help us operate the Service, such as hosting providers, payment processors, email providers, analytics tools, map providers, weather providers, and support tools.
With Sponsors or Advertisers
We may provide aggregated or non-personally-identifying analytics to sponsors, such as guide views, sponsor impressions, or sponsor link clicks. We do not sell individual player contact information to sponsors without consent.
For Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, court order, law enforcement request, or if we believe disclosure is needed to protect rights, safety, security, users, events, or the Service.
Business Transfers
If DiscGolf.Guide is transferred to an LLC, sold, merged, reorganized, or otherwise transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
With Your Consent
We may share information when you ask us to or give us permission.
4. Public Guide Information
Some tournament guides are public or accessible by link or QR code. Information published in a guide may be visible to anyone with access to the guide.
Organizers are responsible for deciding what event information, sponsor content, schedules, course notes, and player information they publish.
5. Location Information
Some features may use location data to show maps, GPS distances, nearby holes, or course-related information.
We do not need continuous background location tracking for basic guide viewing. If we later offer features that use background location, we will provide additional notice and choices where required.
You can disable location permissions in your browser or device settings, but some map or distance features may not work correctly.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, preferences, analytics, and performance.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect account login, guide editing, saved preferences, analytics accuracy, or other features.

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, maintain accounts, support events, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, and improve the platform.
Organizers may delete or archive event guides. Players may request deletion of their account or certain personal information by contacting us.
We may retain backup copies, logs, transaction records, or aggregated data for a reasonable period.
8. Your Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of certain personal information.
You can also:
- Update your account information;
- Choose whether to add a PDGA number;
- Choose whether to share scores with an Organizer when optional;
- Disable browser location permissions;
- Disable or limit cookies through browser settings;
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails, if any.
Service-related emails may still be sent when necessary for your account, event, security, billing, or support.
9. Children's Privacy
DiscGolf.Guide is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no online service is completely secure. You use the Service at your own risk.
11. Third-Party Services
The Service may use or link to third-party services, including payment processors, map providers, weather providers, analytics providers, email providers, PDGA websites, sponsor websites, and other tools.
Third-party services have their own privacy policies and practices. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
12. State Privacy Laws
Some state privacy laws may provide additional rights depending on your location and the size or nature of our business. If you believe a state privacy law applies to your information, contact us and we will review your request.
13. International Users
DiscGolf.Guide is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
